VINELink can receive a Jones County Detention Center record even though DAC Offender Public Information does not hold ordinary county jail bookings. Official policy says telephone calls can repeat at intervals for up to 24 hours when the PIN is not entered. Telephone registration and support are available through NC SAVAN at 1-877-627-2826. Repeated calls can therefore mean the alert was not acknowledged, rather than a series of new custody events.
An alert can report release, transfer, or another change supported by the source feed. Read the whole message. If it says transfer, the person remains in custody. If the category is broad, call the source agency and ask for the destination or existing movement record.
Confirm Jones County VINELink Alerts
VINELink is an alert and status service. It is not a certified release record, and data can lag the operational event. The sheriff controls its jail data, DAC controls state offender and supervision data, and the clerk manages the court file. Send the record identifier and a competing official document, such as an amended judgment or agency release paper. One source cannot normally correct another source's underlying record.
